About Kira

Kira Kirikovich, an Athens-based artist hailing originally from Belarus, embarked on her fine art journey after dedicating 15 years to the fashion industry, notably working with Haute Couture. Her unique artistic trajectory seamlessly blends the worlds of modern and classic styles within the realm of contemporary expressionism.

Specialising in figurative shapes and portraits, Kira's current artistic focus revolves around three captivating series: "Action Lines," "Body Rebellion," and "Portraits." Each series serves as a testament to her ability to weave emotion and narrative into the fabric of her creations.

Kira Kirikovich's artistic process is a dance of intuition and dynamism. She eschews preliminary sketches, choosing instead to apply brushstrokes directly onto the canvas. Her preferred mediums, oil, and pastel, become conduits for a spectrum of emotions, ranging from vibrant and intense to mellow and subdued. Kira's artistic versatility shines through as she seamlessly transitions between techniques, incorporating pre-mixing, pouring blended colors, and utilising both knives and flat brushes to create captivating marks and textures.
